Guifications 2.16 Released!

After nearly seven months of inactivity, I got off my lazy rear and did some work on Guifications 2. This work resulted in two releases today! Guifications 2.15 had some issues on many non-Windows systems, so we fixed those issues and cut 2.16 for general consumption. Head on over to the downloads section to have a look!

Purple Plugin Pack 2.1.1 Released!

Well, since I screwed up the 2.1.0 release, I had to release 2.1.1 to fix the convbadger build. We now have proper infrastructure distributed to cause the plugin to build on Windows and other platforms we work on.

We'll call this release the "John is an idiot" release. Head on over to the downloads section to get it!

Sorry for the screwup!

Purple Plugin Pack 2.0.0 Released!

We have released the Purple Plugin Pack version 2.0.0! It includes a slew of bug fixes, including fixes for some particularly irritating crashes in the Album plugin. We also included some new plugins and added some new features to some existing plugins.

With the release of Purple Plugin Pack 2.0.0, we have changed our version numbering scheme. The new scheme works like this:
  • The format is major.minor.micro.
  • The major number follows libpurple's major number. This is intended to indicate the specific version of libpurple we support with that release.
  • The minor version reflects the state of the plugins list within the Plugin Pack. If we add or remove plugins, we will increment this number. Under certain circumstances determined by a quorum of our developers, massive rewrites that fundamentally change a given plugin such that the result could effectively be called removing one plugin and adding another will also cause a minor version increment. The minor version will increment by exactly one for each release in which these happen, even if multiple plugins are added/changed/rewritten.
  • The micro version increments for any other changes. This includes bugfix only releases or releases in which our build system changes.

Gary and I have installed the Simpleticket and Spamfilter plugins for trac in an attempt to simplify ticket submission and curb some of the spam we're seeing, and we also gave users the ability to edit the wiki pages. Use these new privileges with care, as we will not hesitate to remove all privileges from your account if you abuse our wiki.
